  1. turns out, i like graphic novels. and i’m even more of a guy now. great.
  2. if you were put off by the violence of the movie [which i wasn't] the book makes it a lot easier to swallow
  3. silk specter II is a total skank in the book and i hate her
  4. though i do wish the story was about her mom, cause she seems cool
  5. turns out dr. manhattan is actually not that important of a character, even though he has the most power and almost ends the world
  6. there is this amazing scene where dr. manhattan tells the story about how he got that way with time converging and it is incredible
  7. pirates are cool. well, in this book. not obviously in real life.
  8. it’s so sad that after months and months of not reading, it took a comic book movie to get me to pick up a book
  9. i wish i hadn’t crashed and burned in my comic book art class. i would’ve made a great cartoon
  10. wolverine is gonna be the best thing ever

  1. for ten dollars, i got an amazing like, 1.5 hour show
  2. you gotta respect a band with so little ego that the lead singer will leave the stage to put the focus on other featured guests
  3. they barely even played their own songs and i don’t even think the lead singer introduced himself
  4. there’s something really exciting about seeing truly skilled musicians doing their thing and loving what they do
  5. trombones, trumpets, and tubas. oh my. and all awesome. oh, and a crazy electric violin.
  6. the sax players were so cute and fun
  7. at one point, there were 17 people on stage playing and performing
  8. they had some random rappers and singers jumping on stage performing, and it was the first time in a long time i really felt like a hip hop band gave a great show
  9. i fell in love with hip hop all over again
  10. thank you the roots
